In our virtual environment (and even in normal life) it is so important to establish a nightly routine that helps relax your mind, body and soul. Setting boundaries with yourself whether that's turning your phone on DND, closing your laptop, not allowing yourself to think about deadlines, etc. is very important to your mental health! Here are a few tips and ways to unwind after a busy day!
Reminders
Setting phone reminders for a visual reminder can help you wind down at night! Once I'm finally done with my day, I always turn on my feel good playlist and begin my skin routine. It helps relax and prepares my brain to wind down. Setting a bedtime reminder for a specific time can be an important boundary to set that will set you up for success.

Affirmations
Using affirmations at night helps reprogram your subconscious mind and removes all negative thoughts and ideas you had throughout the day. The more you repeat this process, the less the negativity returns and the faster your mindset transforms!

Routine
Having an intentional bedtime routine is so vital to self care!! It relaxes you from your day and prepares you to rest your body. My bedtime routine always includes turning my oil diffuser on or lighting a candle. After I shower and complete my skin care routine, I usually make some tea and drink it while I pray, journal or meditate. These are a few things that have brought me success in winding down after a busy day.
